Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t stopped working since 2011, when she was nominated for an Oscar for her incredible work in Winter’s Bone. Since that time, Jennifer has gone from one movie to the next, from franchise to franchise, and there’s no sign of her stopping anytime soon. As a result of her hard work, The Hunger Games star is now the highest-paid actress in Hollywood.
Forbes just revealed its list of highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, and Jennifer took the top spot, raking in $52 million from June 2014 to June 2015.
Coming in at No. 2 is Scarlett Johansson, who made $35.5 million. Melissa McCarthy took the third spot with $23 million, while actress Bingbing Fan came in fourth with $21 million. Rounding out the top five is Jennifer Aniston, who took home $16.5 million in 2014.
Other leading ladies who made the top ten include Julia Roberts who made $16 million, Angelina Jolie and Reese Witherspoon who both made $15 million, and Anne Hathaway and Kristen Stewart who both made $12 million.
While these are seriously impressive numbers, we should mention, the list of the highest-paid men in Hollywood came out a couple of weeks ago, and it included 21 men who earned over $20 million in 12 months. The women’s list only has four ladies who earned over $20 million in the same amount of time, so, we’re just sayin…. equal pay people!
