Jennifer Lawrence Talks Hollywood Body Image, Feminism In Harper's Bazaar

Jennifer graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar May 2016 cover, looking gorgeous and sultry as ever sporting a platinum hairdo and a hot pink pout. And in true J-Law fashion, she wasn’t shy about opening up about any subject, from whether or not she has a dating “type”, to Hollywood’s absurd body standards.
Jennifer spoke about being told she has a “normal” body, explaining QUOTE, “I would like us to make a new normal-body type. Everybody says, 'We love that there is somebody with a normal body!' And I'm like, 'I don't feel like I have a normal body.' I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person. I think we've gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it's like, 'Oh, my God, she's curvy.' Which is crazy.”
Yeah, she pretty much nailed that one. When it comes to her dating life at the moment J-Law kept mum, but she did insist she doesn’t have a type and that all of her ex-boyfriends are uncomparable. Minus the fact that at least two of them have been gorgeous British men, such as Nicholas Hoult and Chris Martin, we’ll just have to take her word on that one.
Jennifer also spoke about feminism, and how everyone seems to be afraid to use that f-word when they really shouldn’t be, saying QUOTE, “I don't know why that word is so scary to people; it shouldn't be, because it just means equality. If we are moving forward in a society, you are feeling stronger as a woman, and you want to be taken more seriously. You don't have to take away the wonderful traits that come with being a woman: We are sensitive. We are pleasers. We're empathetic. All those things that can keep you from asking for what you want or making mistakes.”
