Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the Golden Globes yet again this year… And that opening monologue was EVERYTHING.
Hey everybody, welcome back to Clevver’s Trophy Life where we’re bringing you all the highlights and razzle dazzle from tonight’s big show.
As if we would expect anything less from these two, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey slayed their opening monologue. They poked fun at the hoopla surrounding The Interview, prayed on a few celebrity victims in the audience including Steve Carell and my personal fav Emma Stone, while also playing a little game of would you rather with some of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors... and then they also threw in this super uncomfortable Bill Cosby joke.
Too soon? Judging from all the uncomfortable laughter in the audience… Yeahhh maybe.
In addition to poking fun at some of the past year’s biggest stories in Hollywood, while recognizing Jennifer Aniston’s film Cake, Tina and Amy took it upon themselves to explain to Hollywood that cake IS IN fact a fluffy-like dessert that people eat on their birthdays... You see most of hollywood isn’t very familiar with this concept due to that fact that in Hollywood, carbs are the devil.
You guys, I’m sooo sad that this is indeed the last year Tina and Amy are hosting the globes... Because YOU KNOW that kind of funny doesn’t just grow on trees… and things just won’t be the same without this witty duo.
