Gaga reveals more than ever in a brand new interview with Billboard.
Lady Gaga lays it all on the line in her Billboard interview but there is so much there that we picked out all of the most notable quotes and are bringing you the 5 things you NEED to know from the interview!
Lady Gaga was named Billboard’s 2015 woman of the year and in tangent with her cover shoot, she did an interview so candid and raw, it will make you want to
Whatever it makes you want to do, it will make you want to know more about Gaga. And she gives us a whole of honesty in this interview starting with #1 when she admits at one point she wanted to quit being a pop star.
After her album Art Pop failed on the charts and with fans, she said the whole industry turned on her, except for Topny Bennet and Elton John who she credits with digging her out of her sadness.
She then said her stylist asked her, QUOTE “Do you even want to be a pop star anymore?” Gaga looked at him and said, QUOTE “You know, if I could just stop this train right now, today, I would. I just can’t.”
She added QUOTE “I need to get off now because I’m going to die. When you’re going so fast you don’t feel safe anymore, you feel like you’re being slapped around and you can’t think straight.”
Coming in at #2 Gaga gets emotional about being different. She says she is QUOTE “a different kind of girl, and when being different is not in style it’s hard for me to function,,,I’m not the type of girl who fits most molds. That’s why working on American Horror Storywith Ryan [Murphy] is a destiny. I wanted to create something extremely meaningful by exploring the art of darkness. “
The third thing you need to know about this interview is that Gaga admits she had to get completely sober for 2 months in order to prepare for her Oscar performance.She told her manager that she needed 2 months of working with her vocal coach every day and to be completely sober in order to prepare properly. Shye views that performance as amake or break moment for her.
#4 she says that she wants to explode in her 30’s. Gaga says she has mourned her 20’s in a way because she is turning 30 in March and is excited to show people what being 30 is all about! She says quote “Why is it that we’re disposing of people once they pass that mark? It’s suddenly, ‘You’re an old woman.’ I’m not f---ing old. I’m more sexual and powerful and intelligent and on my shit than I’ve ever been.”

And #5- She wants to purify the music industry. She asks if talent is ever enough, citing Adele and Bruno Mars as examples for when it is. She says QUOTE “ Let us purify this industry again and put our finger in the face of every executive and say, ‘If you are spending money, is it on someone who can really sing? Is it on someone who has a perspective?’”
Lady Gaga, the woman born Stefani Germanotta, has found immense professional success, and from this interview it seems as if she has once again found herself.
