We’ve got your first look at The Voice season 7 premiere—welcoming two new coaches Pharrell and Gwen Stefani. Fall is here and that means a brand spanking new season of singing competition The Voice. Let’s begin with the most OBVIOUS reason you should watch season 7: new coach and icon Gwen Stefani. And her fashion. Next, this one’s easy too: singe/producer genius Pharrell. And how many “Happy” jokes will there be? Speaking of which, in the premiere you may or may NOT get to see Blake make one of the first “Happy” jokes of the season.
Please note: Blake also jokes about Pharrell’s hat too. Ok ok ok reason number three you need to watch the September 22nd premiere on NBC: all four coaches (Yes Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are back) duet together singing No Doubt’s hit song “Hella Good” which Pharrell co-wrote back in the day.
And the coach chemistry only begins there. Moving on to number four: the talent. Obviously we love the coaches but we’re really here for the raw talent, right?
And that lucky fellow inspired Pharrell to kick off the naming dropping this season.
Ain’t no shame in his game. And disappointed you will NOT be after you see another contestant do an Ariana Grande song, and a lot more. Ok the talent is so good on the premiere that the coaches bickering and pleading to be on their team is at an all-time high with each mega star bringing out all their stops. And that brings us to number five: Gwen Stefani leads the crowd in an “I’m Just a Girl” chant while trying to win over a contestant. Classic. And while we’re on the topic of flawless Gwen Stefani our number six reason to watch the show is her and Pharrell’s love. Yup, they have this weird non-sexual affection for each other and it’s kinda the cutest thing ever. Finally, number 7: Adam Levine is now a poet. He pens a potential contestant a heartfelt poem right there on the spot and reads it to them, hoping to get them on his team. You’ll have to watch the premiere September 22nd on NBC to find out if it woorrrrks.
