13 Reasons Why Officially RENEWED For Season 3

2019 is going to be a good year. We’ll be a year shy of the next presidential elections AND we’ll have 13 NEW episodes of 13 reasons why. That’s correct! Netflix has decided to bring back the popular teen drama series for another season only weeks after debuting season 2! Check out the teaser they released with the announcement.
Oooo! So many spoilers! JK. Now what can we expect from season 3?! Well, first, don’t worry, I’m not gonna give you ANY spoilers on Season 2 in case you still haven’t binged it. I’d never do that to you. You know me better than that. Brian Yorkey- the show’s creator- will be returning as show runner. Selena Gomez and her mom Mandy Teefey are still executive producers. But sadly, Katherine Langford AKA Hannah will NOT be coming back in season 3. Many of the stars casts members had publicly begged the show’s writers to keep the show going, saying there were plenty more storylines to follow and teen issues to explore. And they got their wish. Filming for season 3 starts later this year. As for new plot lines, the show’s creator Yorkey shared some clues about his plans. QUOTE “I think the themes are sort of inherent in the action of season 2… What happened to Hannah will always be the first clause of the story. The rest of the story is about young people, as so many young people, maybe all young people today (learn) how to heal from the things that have hurt them…to make the world that they want it to be, not just the world they are inheriting…and above all, how to take care of each other.” What was that? Gun control? Young people should vote in the Midterm elections later this fall to help shape their world? I think that’s what he just said. Anyway, despite the show being a huge monster hit for Netflix, it’s definitely come with its fair share of controversies. After being criticized for its very graphic coverage of rape, suicide, drunk driving and bullying, the hit series added new title cards with advisories that played before Season 1 episodes and introduced a new level of warning beginning with Season 2. The streaming service also made a PSA video that autoplays in advance of the first episode in each season. Now given all the loose ends in the season 2 finale, what do YOU want season 3 to explore?
