Adele kicked off her 25 World Tour in Belfast last night, and while she made all her Irish fans’ dreams come true, she also managed to help one couple begin their happily ever after.
And not only did Adele host an on-stage proposal, but she also covered a wide range of topics, bowel movements included... and y’all know how I feel about this subject.
Attending an Adele show is not just a concert… you get the whole experience and much more, because nothing, and I mean NOTHING, seems to be off limits. In a dramatic entrance to a stage set in the middle of the arena, Adele kicked off her show singing her hit “Hello” followed by “Hometown Glory” and “One and Only”. After she concluded her third song, she took some time to get to know her fans… and her fans even got to know her… maybe a little too well.
So if you couldn’t hear that clearly, Adele, who apparently wasn’t supposed to start blabbing after the third song so she wouldn’t interrupt the stage effects, went on a roll and revealed to the crowd QUOTE, “I've been fucking shitting myself all day. Bad bowel movements. I've had to have an Imodium."
But hey, NO judgements here! Maybe she was just nervous for her first show, but whatever the case may have been, the real highlight of the night was when she invited different sets of fans onstage to sing happy birthday to them, and then to help a couple get engaged, which conveniently occurred during the show that fell on February 29th, which is an Irish tradition where the women can ask the men to marry them on Leap Day.
However, it wasn’t exactly the luck of the Irish until Adele stepped in, after the girl came onstage and revealed that she technically did propose earlier in the day to which her boyfriend gave her a “Maybe in a little while” answer. But with the powers of Adele, there’s no way he’d be turning her down a second time.
Well thank the gods above that the boyfriend, Neil to be exact, said yes this time around, but really, how could he have said no to that? And better yet, Adele even admitted she might be paying the wedding a visit, after asking where the couple lived, and replying with, “"Essex? That's down the road from me. I'll come." Oh what it’d be like to have Adele sing at your wedding… so many GOALS.
But right now I want to know all your thoughts on Adele’s 25 World Tour opening night, and after watching this, share with me how excited YOU are to see Adele (or hear about it via social media) in your hometown, so get to talking right down here and after that, if you missed out on the Oscar buzz last weekend, be sure to click over here to get a full fashion recap of the best and worst dressed on Dirty Laundry.
