Another The Vampire Diaries & Originals Crossover Coming?

Another crossover of characters between The Vampire Diaries and The Originals is brewing and it smells so good. Executive Producer, Julie Plec recently revealed that as of now there is a crossover in the works saying QUOTE - “It looks like we are going to be able to do a crossover in the first half of the season, and I can’t tell you what or who or when because it hasn’t been shot yet, but things are looking good.” I love when shows do this, it makes my brain freak the heck out. It’s like the characters live inside the TV and just skip on over through the wires to the other’s time slot and bam, crossover. Remember, last season there were two crossovers when Tyler appeared on The Originals and when Klaus and Rebekah stopped by TVD. And even though The Vampire Diaries and The Originals technically exist in the same universe, Plec reveals that it’s actually a lot more complicated to make these crossovers than fans realize. It gets a little sticky when it comes to blending the stories in a way that flows, not to mention all the technicalities and logistics that go into transferring an actor from one show to another. Yeah, messy. Plec didn’t reveal many details when divulging info at Comic Con but did drop a hint that Alaric will not be the focus of the crossover, but that that may be a possibility in the future. Plec said QUOTE – “I just love the idea of Matt Davis playing in the pool with Joe [Joseph Morgan] and Daniel [Gillies].”
Exciting stuff. And to add even more confetti to the party, Plec will be making her directional debut in season 6 of the Vampire Diaries.
