Celebrities from all over came out to support the March for Our Lives protest and some of music’s biggest stars lent their voices for the cause.
Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato were just a few stars who spoke out and performed at the rally.
There were March for Our Lives protests happening all over the world, but the biggest one happened right in Washington D.C. Aside from a number of powerful speeches from student speakers, celebs like Miley, Ariana, Demi, Jennifer Hudson, and so many more delivered some very powerful performances in support of the cause.
Before her performance, Miley tweeted out the lyrics of her song, ‘The Climb’ and wrote QUOTE, “These lyrics mean more to me now than ever. I won’t ever give up & neither will the millions that march with us today. #EndGunViolence.”
And then it happened, Miley took the stage with a sign that read ‘Never Again’ while in a #MSDStrong sweater to show her solidarity with the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas and hit all of us in the feels with her super emotional performance.
But of course, the tear-jerking performances of the day didn’t end after Miley’s. Demi also took the stage to perform a beautiful rendition of her song, “Skyscraper.”
While Ariana performed her hit song, “Be Alright.”
Ari followed her upbeat performance by dedicating her song to everyone fighting for change and participating in the march. She said QUOTE, “This is for those brilliant students here today that are leading this march and for everyone participating today. Thank you so much for fighting for change and for love and safety and for our future.”
It’s safe to say that between these uplifting performance and powerful speeches, there definitely wasn’t a dry eye at the protest.
