Demi Lovato Says She's Proud Of Miley Cyrus' Sobriety

While promoting her new collaboration with FABletics, Demi Lovato was asked about her former Disney pal, Miley Cyrus. Demi told The Hollywood Reporter QUOTE, “I am really proud of Miley. I think that it helps people to know that there are people in the spotlight that have challenges, that are faced with very stressful lives. I think it helps to know that recovery is possible and it’s something that is so important to certain people like myself.”
Demi has been sober for five years and often speaks out about her difficult journey. Miley Cyrus recently revealed to Billboard that she’s completely clean right now after giving up alcohol, weed, and other drugs.
Demi also dished to The Hollywood Reporter when speaking about Miley and also Brad Pitt who is now sober, “I wouldn’t be alive without my sobriety, and the people that are sober today in this industry, I commend them a lot.”
It seems Demi has thrown Miley a bone here with these compliments, so we’ll see if Miley takes the bait and ends their frenemy status. If you recall, in February this year the two ran into each other at the Women’s March in LA and their interaction didn’t seem to be all that genuine.
