Some fans just accused Demi Lovato of breaking her sobriety, but she is clapping back.
This episode is brought to you by NHTSA reminding us that if you’re texting you’re not driving.
As we all know, the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer has had issues with drugs and alcohol over the years, and a recent photo had people thinking she might have fallen off the wagon.
The photo in question shows Demi with Hayley Kiyoko, Sirah, and Matthew Scott Montgomery at LA hotspot No Vacancy that was taken last week. Matthew posted the pic on Instagram, and it doesn’t look like Demi is holding anything.
However, a Haley fan account posted the same photo, and you can clearly see Demi holding a beverage, which they said appeared to be alcohol.
Fans started to speculate left and right that Demi could be drinking again, but Demi shut the rumors down once and for all on Instagram by replying to a comment saying “I don’t have to defend anything but it was Red Bull.”
You tell ‘em GIRL!
This comes about a month after Demi celebrated six years of sobriety, as she tweeted March 14: “Just officially turned 6 years sober. So grateful for another year of joy, health and happiness. It IS possible”
As always, we’re so inspired by Demi’s strength!
