7 Things you didn’t know about Ariana►►
Ariana Grande is, without any shadow of a doubt, one of the hottest people in entertainment right now, but now the 21 year old singer is opening up about some of the hardships she’s had to face in Seventeen magazine. In the article for her big cover she talks specifically about her relationship with her dad and how they’ve lost touch.
Ariana was very candid about the whole situation telling the mag, quote:
“It’s private, but it happened last year. It took me so long to be okay with it. The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him. So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself. I had to accept that it’s okay not to get along with somebody and still love them.”
In addition to that, Ariana also opened up about her insecurities and growing up in front of the spotlight saying:
“It’s tough to spend some of the most important years of your life in front of so many strangers who want to pick you apart. Insecurity has been the hardest thing I’ve had to overcome. I think everyone my age struggles with that because everyone strives for approval and wants to feel loved.”
Props to Ariana for being so open and honest about her own personal struggles – it really goes to show that celebrities go through so many of the same sorts of ups and downs in life that all of us do and I personally think that what Ariana has done here is very brave.
