Ariana Grande's ODD Connection To Jim Carrey!

Ariana Grande has some new ink, and Jim Carrey has a LOT to do with it.
What’s up everybody, I’m Sussan Mourad and I know what you’re thinking- what the heck do Ariana Grande and Jim Carrey have in common?! One’s a legendary pop star and shady lyric queen, the other is a comedy icon and actor extraordinaire.
Well, it seems like the two actually have common ground when it comes to mental health.
Ari just posted a photo of her bestie and cousin Courtney Chipalone’s tattoo, which read— "In case I don't see ya good afternoon good evening and good night!"
It was inspired from “The Truman Show,” Carrey’s movie. Ari said she got the same tattoo, except “upside down.” She didn’t specify where on her body she got the new ink, but Courtney’s is on her shoulder. The tat was done by Mira Mariah, whom Ari called “perfect.”
Ariana, who is open about her mental health struggles, has paid homage to Carrey before.
Back in April, Ari shared a series of posts praising Carrey, sharing black and white photos of the actor.
She wrote: “My first AIM username was jimcarreyfan42 when I was in like 4th grade.”
She also quoted Carrey, writing--
"You should think of the word 'depressed' as 'deep rest.' Your body needs to be depressed. It needs deep rest from the character that you've been trying to play."
Of course, when it comes to someone with superstar power like Ariana Grande, word is bound to spread. Carrey tweeted at Ariana to thank her for being so open and honest about her struggles.
He wrote QUOTE —- I read your lovely mention of me and things I’ve said about depression. A brilliant teacher and friend, Jeff Foster was OG on the “Deep Rest” concept. I admire your openness. I wish you freedom and peace. I feel blessed to have such a gifted admirer.
This wasn’t even the first time Ari took to social to share her love for the actor. Wayyyy back in 2014, she actually had a chance to meet him, and could NOT keep it together.
After that interaction, she tweeted -- met my childhood crush Jim Carrey. could even speak. he was kind, warm and human. I'm so happy.
So… yeah, Jim Carrey and Ariana Grande have a lot more in common than you think.
