Sharpay and Ryan Evans bring us a little throwback HSM cover and we can’t handle it.

Ashley Tisdale has been keeping consistent on her YouTube channel these days uploading covers, makeup tutorials, Q&A’s and vlogs.

But yesterday she uploaded a cover of What I’ve Been Looking For with none other than Lucas Grabeel and our hearts skipped a beat.

Before they even get to the singing, they reminisced about making the song come to life and their touring days.

And then it got too real.

Woah there! HATED?! We can’t be the only HSM fans taken aback by this revelation!!

Ashley does add that by the time they wrapped, she always had a love for him. But we thought there was love the whole time!

It seems like they’re totally cool with each other now, and just watching them laugh about High School Musical transported us back to our awkward tween years.

And when we thought it couldn’t get better, the piano started playing the throwback jam.

If you remember the first High School Musical, you’ll recall two versions of the song. The upbeat, dancey one featuring Sharpay and Ryan and the slow, lovey version featuring Troy and Gabriella.

According to Ashley QUOTE, “Lucas did this amazing rendition of What I’ve Been Looking For” so their cover is a mixture of Troy and Gabriella’s version with a little bit of Lucas Grabeel flair!
