Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland is home to over 200 ethnic communities which means the food scene here is incredibly diverse. Over the next few weeks we’ll be exploring Auckland’s food culture and showcasing the range in cuisine that can be experienced in Aotearoa New Zealand’s biggest city.

In this video we’re hunting down some of the best spots to eat Korean food in Auckland. We take you into the kitchen of a contemporary Korean restaurant giving traditional flavours and dishes a Kiwi twist, eat delicious hotteok, a popular Korean street food from a family run stall and dive into a steaming pot of gamjatang- pork spine stew. Hotteok at No.1 Pancake, Lorne Street &, Wellesley Street East, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open 10:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 11:30am to 4:30pm.

Gamjatang at Happy Chef (listed on Google maps as Happy Table), 12 Arrenway Drive, Rosedale, Auckland 0632. Open Monday to Saturday 11:00am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
