Bella managed to keep it together when she strutted her stuff on the runway, but the model lost it as soon as she got backstage and out of the spotlight.
Sure, Bella has been walked a ton of fashion runways and starred in a bunch of ad campaigns, but that doesn’t mean the whole process doesn’t get her emotional! Gigi’s baby sister revealed that she didn’t cry once, but TWICE during New York Fashion Week for two completely different reasons.
Bella opened up to Fashionista about her teary moment at Prabal Gurung’s show on Sunday. The presentation was already emotional, but it was a combination of the feministic tribute and seeing Prabal start tearing up right before the finale walk that sent her over the edge.
The model said QUOTE, “I went out and walked, and right before finale, when Prabal was about to go walk, I saw him tearing up and I just started crying because it was such a beautiful, moving show. Everybody in the audience was crying during the finale; it was really, really powerful and I’m really proud of him. It was incredible.”
Seeing someone cry just sets off this domino effect, you know? The second time Bella cried was when she found out she was closing the Oscar de la Renta show.
She revealed QUOTE, “I mean, literally, I also cried! I don’t know if it’s just a very emotional week, but that show has always been something really big to me. It’s such an iconic brand and I’ve always looked up to the designers. I cried when I got the show in general, and then when I heard I was closing, I was at a loss for words.”
While Bella got super emotional at those shows, the model has looked equally stunning at all of the shows she’s been walking in at NYFW. Bella recently strutted her stuff down the runway for Brandon Maxwell and even flashed a little side boob and thigh cleavage in a super sexy black dress.
