Simmer down, BeyHive, Simmer Down! -- Beyonce’s viral side-eye during the NBA Finals has officially been explained, and there’s an actual logical explanation, so just hear us out…
What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News attempting to calm the ISH out of the BeyHive after what went down during Game 3 of the NBA Finals between Beyonce, Jay Z and what many people didn’t realize… the WIFE of the Warrior’s owner.
Come on guys, we’re better than this. As part of the BeyHive myself, I completely understand having our girl’s back considering all she’s been through, but maaaaannnn… it’s been a full 24 hours since Nicole Curran, and again, let me clarify: THE WIFE OF THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIOR’S OWNER, Joe Lacob, fulfilled only all of our wildest dreams as she took a seat right next to the couple during the playoff game.
Little did she know, her seating arrangement would lead to hours of endless blacklash and death threats following the short clip shared to ESPN that went viral, showing Beyonce going from smiling to frowning as Nicole leans over to chat with Jay Z.
Nicole addressed the issue to ESPN reported Ramona Shelburne saying she didn’t know there was an issue until the second she logged onto her social media, and as a result, has since deactivated her account due to all the hate filling her feed.
Nicole’s side of the story portrays complete innocence as she found the interaction completely harmless, and had even invited Bey and Jay to games many times, so on Wednesday, she offered them drinks, since they were her guests and all.
Ramona took to Twitter in a series of tweets to attempt to explain the situation writing QUOTE, “Just spoke to Nicole Curran, the wife of Warriors owner Joe Lacob, about the “incident” with Beyonce last night. She was in tears. Said she had been getting death threats on social media all night. This morning she disabled her IG account just to make it stop.”
She went on to write, “Curran said she had no idea anything was even amiss until she got home and started seeing texts from friends and checked her social media.” She mentioned that Bey asked for water, while Jay asked for a vodka soda.
Nicole innocently asked if he wanted a lime with that vodka soda, but that it was loud in the arena and she couldn’t hear, so she leaned over. Hence where the photos of Beyonce looking unamused came from.
The series of tweets ended with a final statement, saying, “Curran says she then went to go get them those drinks. ‘There was no hostility. I was trying to be a good hostess,’ she said. ‘I’ve never experienced cyber bullying like this. I can’t believe our players go through this. That kids go through this.’”
AND NOW Beyonce’s camp is speaking out and pleading with the Beyhive to CUT. IT. OUT! According to TMZ, Bey’s publicist is calling for the hive to fall back and stop harassing and threatening people… like Nicole! She posted on Instagram quote: “I know your love runs deep, but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you.”
