Eek! Spoiler city: Caleb Johnson wins American Idol season 13, beating out Jena Irene. ClevverNews has the full roundup of the rocking' 2 hour finale. It's not shocking that Caleb stole the Idol crown, he was pretty much the front runner the whole season. But this reveal came AFTER a huge night of superstar cameo performances. Caleb performed with his idol's KISS, while Jena performed "Decode" and then "Ain't It Fun" with Paramore and a million yellow balloons.
Okay, that was fun. My favorite part of the night was Jennifer Lopez performing her new single "First Love" and then doing this dance break at the end.
Although I'm pretty sure that performance was taped, I still appreciated J.Lo's incomparable stage presence. More girl power coming your way. This diva in the making has got it going on too—Demi Lovato was at the show doing her new single "I Really Don't Care" and then "Neon Lights" with the Top 10 Idol girls.
Now there were literally so many performances on the finale, we can't show them all put let me attempt a quick recap: Phillip Phillips sang "Home" with Sam Woolf then his new single "Raging Fire". Jennifer Nettles performed "That Girl" and "Wrecking Ball" with contestant Jessica Meuse. John Legend performed new song "You and I" and then "All Of Me" with Malaya Watson. Jason Mraz sang "Love Someone" with Alex Preston and Darius Rucker sang "Alright" with C.J. Harris and Dexter Roberts. But that's not it. Aloe Blacc did "The Man", Lady Antebellum sang "Bartender" and even Ryan Seacrest sang because they were trying to break a record or something of most performances on a reality show finale. Oh! There's one more: the three judges performed together for the first time ever on American Idol, first "True Colors" with J.Lo leading the acoustic song and then "Go Your Own Way" with Harry Connick, Jr. taking the forefront.
