It’s no secret that there’s been bad blood between Camila Cabello and her former Fifth Harmony bandmates ever since she split from the group to go solo last year. From the very beginning of their very public breakup, it has been she-said they-said. Camila claimed her split was a mutual decision that the group agreed on while the rest of the girls said that they were told of Camila’s solo endeavors by her lawyers.
Obviously the girls were asked non-stop about Camila’s sudden exit and they constantly had to explain that they’re focusing on the group and their sisterhood rather than Cami’s decision. For the past year both the “Havana” singer and the 5H girls have thrown some serious shade at each other which led up to Fifth Harmony’s iconic MTV VMA performance where they had a fifth member fall off the stage right at they began singing.
With a move like that, it seemed like the girls would never reconcile but we were proved wrong this weekend when it was reported that Camila and Lauren Jauregui actually talked while they were both at Z100’s Jingle Ball concert at Madison Square Garden. Camila was a set performer for the night and Lauren made a surprise performance to singer her duet with Halsey.
Instead of giving each other the cold shoulder, the two singers apparently warmly greeted one another and chatted for a few minutes back stage.
While we have no photographic evidence that this meeting occurred, it definitely warms our hearts knowing that there is a possibility for reconciliation.
Do you love that these two are trying to work things out and are you living for Camila’s solo career? Let us know in the comments below! I’m your host Renee Shafii, thanks for tuning in.
