Lauren Jauregui TEASES New Music & Opens Up About Sexuality

Lauren Jauregui has always been very open about her sexuality, so to hear her open up and talk in depth about being bisexual and how she plans on sharing her experiences through her music isn’t a huge something new. In Nylon’s September issue, Lauren graced the magazine’s cover and talked about her sexuality as well as what fans can expect from her as a solo songwriter and artist.
On the topic of her romantic endeavors, Lauren bared her soul to the mag and revealed that she could QUOTE, “…fall in love with anyone as long as their soul was genuine.” Lauren went on to explain QUOTE, “I don’t care about the physical. I care about your trauma and sh-t, and if you’re projecting that sh-t on to me. But that’s really it, because, at the end of the day, we’re all just humans and if we’re attracted to each other, we’re just attracted to each other. So, I just explore that fluidity all the time.”
During the interview, Lauren played some of her solo music for the writer who revealed that some the tracks are FILLED with Latin influence from Lauren’s very own Cuban background. After playing the writer a song about girl-on-girl love, Lauren commented QUOTE, “My art is just self-explorative. I’m gonna talk about whatever it is that I’m going through, so if what I went through, I went through with a girl, you’re gonna hear about it from that perspective. If what I went through, I did with a man, you’re gonna hear it from that perspective, ‘cause I just love souls.”
I don’t know about you but we CANNOT WAIT for Lauren’s solo music to finally make its debut. But anyway, that’s enough from me.
