This could easily be her best vocal performance yet.
Camila made her live vocal performance debut of her latest single, “Never Be the Same” last night on the Tonight Show and it was BOMB.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I think this was Camila’s best vocal performance yet. “Never Be the Same” is not an easy song to sing at all so the fact that she sounded exactly like the track and wasn’t lip synching is impressive. Girlfriend has been KILLIN it lately with “Havana” dominating the Billboard charts, now “Never Be the Same” is steadily climbing, and her debut solo album, Camila, comes out tomorrow. It’s safe to say that Camila is having a solid 2018.
Following her performance on the Tonight Show, Camila posted a video on her socials saying that the performance was her favorite thing she’s ever done and she hopes we enjoy it. She allowed her voice to shine by keeping the production simple with mirrors framing the stage while images of flowers, city streets, herself, brutal storms and Marilyn Monroe flashed in the background. Also her outfit was bomb, she did that.
