Chelsea Handler Officially Headed to Netflix!

Chelsea Handler is making history people and we couldn't be more excited about it! In a not-too-surprising turn of events, the talk show host -- author -- standup comedian announced that she'd officially be leaving the E! network, due in part to the fact that she doesn't want to talk about celebrities like Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian any more. In several recent interviews, Handler teased the idea of maybe going somewhere like Netflix, and now we can say that the genius move to the on-demand streaming service is officially happening. Chelsea explained the deal by saying this: I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move." The brilliant and hilarious host went on to reveal that she's more excited that she's been in a while, and she noted that QUOTE: the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I've sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs of Sunset. As far as what we'll be seeing Chelsea do on Netflix, well her content will kick off with several stand-up comedy specials, and 4 new docu-comedy specials will be featured on Netflix in 2015, and we can specifically look forward to seeing Chelsea's efforts to gain a better understanding of a variety of subjects ranging from NASCAR to politics and from Silicon Valley to the NBA draft. Coming later in 2016, we'll get an updated format of Chelsea's talk show. No word on how often this talk show will be added to Netflix, but I gotta say, I am so excited about this. As a huge fan of hers, I'm really looking forward to seeing what she'll do with more time for interviews and how she'll cover and talk about topics beyond celebrity. And it's awesome to finally see someone thinking outside the box in terms of where a show can and should air. I am obviously fan-girling hardcore and I'm not going to apologize. So there!
