The streaming service took to twitter a few days ago to reveal the big news: that it’s bringing back stars Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory) for a final season of the hit show. All your favorites are returning including Luke, Emily, Kirk, and Lane. Now, Lauren has worked on a bunch of stuff since the series ended back in 2007 but she is so excited she can’t contain herself, plus, she owes someone a jacket, tweeting: “I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it's time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.” Lauren nearly cried when she visited the old set. In an interview with TV Line, she said, QUOTE "Alexis [Bledel] and I walked onto the set together and -- I feel super emotional about a lot of it and I’m afraid I’m going to start crying at every turn -- but walking onto that set… felt amazing." According to Deadline, the limited-edition series will consist of four 90-minute episodes, with each one taking place during a different season of the year. And most importantly, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino who left before the final season in 2007 because of contract issues with WB, and whose original vision for how the show should end was never seen to fruition- is back as both writer and director. So what’s in store for the new finale?! Get this. Palladino says she knows the series' final four words. I love you? Nope that’s not it. Lauren shared some deets on those famously teased last words. QUOTE “Amy already told them to me ... I asked her, ‘Who says them?’ And she said, ‘Both of you.’ That’s all I can say. It’s not, you know, in unison.” Geez, so much build up! What if it’s, “Pass the fries. Ok.” We’ll see. We don’t have a premiere date yet but according to this Instagram post by Netflix, Gilmore Girls comes back to life in 2016. So on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you about this GG reboot? 100?! Me, too. Let me know how YOU think the series should end by commenting here or tweeting me @Miriamisa. @Miriam_isa on Instagram.
