Chilling Adventures of Sabrina SPOOKY Poster Revealed + Kiernan Shipka Spills Show Details

The highly anticipated Sabrina reboot is coming to Netflix on Friday, Oct. 26th, and with the premiere date closing in, the first official poster has been released.
And as you can see just from this image alone, ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ will be WAY scarier and much darker than its sitcom predecessor, ‘Sabrina’. In the poster, teenage witch Sabrina Spellman -- played by ‘Mad Men’ actress Kiernan Shipka, is seen celebrating her 16th birthday, which is when all hell breaks loose, quite literally. The ominous red birthday candles and terrifying devil horns lurking behind Sabrina’s head definitely hint that this show is gonna be one helluva wicked ride. And we are SO here for it!
The official breakdown for the show reads QUOTE, “‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
The show comes from the executive producers of Riverdale, so we know it’s gonna be good. And someone else who thinks we’ll love it is none other than Sabrina herself. Kiernan recently told Vulture QUOTE, “It’s gonna be great, and people are gonna love it.”
Joining Kiernan is the ever dreamy Ross Lynch, who plays Sabrina’s boyfriend Harvey Kinkle on the show. While the plot details for the show have been kept pretty tightly under wraps, Kiernan DID hint at a love triangle between Sabrina, Harvey, and a Warlock boy. Kiernan joked QUOTE, “It’s not very hard to like either of those boys, to be honest. They’re really cute.”
This show is already starting to feel like a Riverdale-meets-The Craft mashup, and we cannot wait!
