We've got our first look at The Giver's brand new Taylor Swift Character Poster!
Taylor Swift will be playing the mysterious role of Rosemary, The Giver's daughter, in the upcoming movie adaptation of the award winning, best selling novel, The Giver. And although we are all kinda sad that Taylor's role is a minor one in the film, we can't help but get excited every time we see our girl, in character.
Today, MTV revealed an exclusive first look at a brand new promo poster of Taylor as Rosemary, and I think you all are really going to love it!
As you can see, Taylor is looking quite different, sporting a curly brunette wig, and the photo itself is in black and white, with the exception of one color strip that falls across the left side of Taylor's face, revealing Taylor's stunning baby blue eye! This black and white photo design was also seen on all of the other character photos as well, leaving fans curious about whether or not this color palate will tie into the visual storytelling of the movie. And even though the trailer of the film is in color, could these photos be hinting that some of the movie will be filmed in black and white to then transition into color? It certainly would tie in well with Lois Lowrey's beloved young adult novel, dont you think?
We still have a while before The Giver hits theaters which of course is August 15th, 2015, but it certainly helps to tie us over when we get reveals like this!
What did you all think of Taylor Swifts promo poster? And if you're a fan of "The Giver" novel, do you think these posters are hinting at a larger storytelling theme that we will see in the movie?
