It’s safe to say that Demi Lovato is a big believer in the whole ‘honesty is the best policy’ saying.
She’s just not afraid to lay it all out on the line.
The truth isn’t always pretty, but that’s not something Demi really cares about. In her interview with Entertainment Tonight, Demi opened up about why she decided to be so honest with the public, especially her loyal legion of fans. Demi revealed in the interview that she knew that she could use her voice for so much more than singing and if it takes airing her dirty laundry out to the public to help others from making the same mistakes she has made, well, so be it.
She said QUOTE, “I lay it out on the line and I’m very, very honest. When I share things with my fans, I want it to be honest and real, so I do. I share all of that with them.” And one of those shockingly honest confessions is the one she makes in her documentary about trying cocaine for the first time and loving it when she was only 17 years old.
Demi went on to say QUOTE, “There are times where you are faced with the choice of, ‘Do I do this, or do I not do this?’ and I want to prevent my fans from going through the things that I’ve been through.” That’s such an admirable thing to do.
Another thing she’s totally cool with being honest about? Her sexuality. While Demi has teased before to get a more in-depth answer on whether or not she’s bi-sexual, on the night of her documentary’s premiere, Demi talked to Extra about being open to dating both men and women. When the interviewer asked Demi how and when she came to realization of looking for a human connection as opposed to looking to date just one specific gender, this is what she said.
Doesn’t that just make you love her even more??
