Kylie and Kendall have dropped their new line and some real phone numbers in the process…
Kendall + Kylie are back with their second collection, and one design has fans grabbing their cellphones because the sisters printed actual working phone numbers onto some of the merch. Apparently when you call the Kendall number, you get a voicemail that says, “Hi, this is Kendall, I’m sorry I can’t get to the phone right now, but please have a lovely day and call back whenever you want to hear my voice. Bye!” And when you call Kylie’s number, she teases with an initial “Hello”, followed by, “Hey, it’s Kylie Jenner. Have a great day, thanks for calling.” Unfortunately it sounds like both mailboxes are permanently full, so unfortunately there’s no way for fans to leave a message for the girls in return.
In addition to adding some fun to their line with the phone numbers, the Jenner sisters also opened up about which celeb inspired the line. It turns out that family friend Paris Hilton was their muse for the new merch. Kendall said of Paris’s fashion influence on them QUOTE, “Paris is a family friend, so like our big sisters we have always admired her fashion sense...At my 21st birthday party, I wore a dress inspired by the one Paris wore in 2002 at her 21st birthday party. She was there to celebrate with me that night and loved my look.”
The girls also gave a hat tip to Christina Aguilera for inspiring some of the ensembles. And speaking of which, the line itself is full of statement pieces inspired by the early 2000s, including a bright orange skintight latex dress Kendall modeled, paired with a black baseball hat with a fire logo that reads “shit. Is. lit”. Meanwhile Kylie modeled a more casual ensemble of a white bodysuit style tank-top and pre-washed jeans. Other items in the line include extreme cat-eye sunglasses, a denim mini skirt inspired by Christina Aguilera circa 2000, a latex bra, and, of course, those Kendall and Kylie cell phone t-shirts, which will set you back $95 a piece. But that’s a small price to pay to be able to the girls’ voicemails at any time you want, right?!
