Fans Think Charlie Puth's Song Is About Selena Gomez Because of THIS Clue

Charlie Puth released his video for the song “How Long” just yesterday, and now fans are wondering if it’s about Selena Gomez! WHAT?!
In the video, Charlie is seen meandering his way around Los Angeles as he sings and dances along to his catchy new single. Pretty normal, right? However, once fans began analyzing the meaning behind the tune and its corresponding video, they were left scratching their heads when it started to seem like he was making a whole lot of references to Selena!
Eyebrows first started to raise about two minutes into the music video, when Charlie was looking at a painting of a woman that—we’re not gonna lie—looks a whole lot like Sel. Like, almost identical. And of course, after fans were done examining every last detail of the painting, they jumped right back into analyzing the lyrics, hoping to find ANY clues at all that the two were ever a thing.
Wait. So if this is about Selena, did Charlie just admit to cheating on her?! Well, we’re not so sure. Why? Because even though Charlie and Selena collaborated on their 2015 hit, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” Selena has insisted in the past that the two are just friends. But, of course, that could’ve just been a cover up for their relationship gone wrong!
We’ll be honest, before this fan theory hit the Internet, we thought this song FOR SURE had to be about his fling with Bella Thorne. If you can’t remember, some REAL drama went down in December of last year after photos surfaced of Charlie and Bella cozying up to one another on the beach in Miami.
However, the romance was short-lived because word got back to Charlie that perhaps things weren’t quite over between Bella and her ex, Tyler Posey. Unfortunately, fans got a front row seat to the messy breakup (or whatever it was) when Charlie tweeted, QUOTE, “No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I’m not going to be in the middle of it. I don’t know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn’t be treated this way. She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me.”
