Parenthood’s Monica Potter disses Iggy at the People’s Choice Awards?
Welcome to Clevver’s Trophy Life where we are bringing you all the highlights from the PCAs.
Yes Monica called Iggy Igloo Australia while announcing the nominees for Favorite Hip Hop Artist, which Iggy won by the way, but I am willing to bet there were zero intentions of shade throwing on Monica’s part.
So this has been labeled an alleged “diss” due to the fact that Iggy’s best friend Azaelia Banks once tweeted some choice words toward Iggy calling her Igoo Australia so people think Monica was referencing the comment, but come on people, Monica was reading from a teleprompter! And it wasn’t just Iggy’s name that was intentionally mispronounced. She also referred to Dr. Dre as Dr. Drew. And sure whoever wrote the script for the teleprompter probably intentionally referenced the Azaelia Banks comment but no need to sharpen any pitchforks, it was all done in the name of comedy.
But what do you guys think? Did Monica Potter throw intentional shade?
