Iggy Azalea Fires Back After T.I. Publicly Cut Ties With Her

And I do have to say this came as a surprise to most, but it especially came as a shock to a completely blinde-sided Iggy, and well, you all know, she bout to have the last word…
During a radio interview with Hot 97 this week, T.I. stopped by to chat about his upcoming projects, but all of which do NOT include Iggy, as he revealed that both of the rappers’ business relationship had QUOTE, “taken a bit of a rest stop” and that they have yet to talk personally.
And some background info for you in case you weren’t aware, T.I. actually helped launch Iggy’s music career in 2012 and was a key advisor on her first album, The New Classic. But going back to good stuff, T.I. mentioned during the radio interview that part of their falling out was due to Iggy’s multiple Twitter feuds with artists including Azealia Banks and her major fallout with Q-Tip over cultural appropriation back in 2014. After having her back multiple times, T.I. revealed that he could only take so much while she kept firing back at others. Take a look:
However, he did defend Iggy by saying that as a newcomer to the industry she had a lot thrown at her at one time and that QUOTE, “Any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time. It's very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and to be the direction of all the negativity.”
But of course none of this sat well with Iggy Iggs, who we all know is never afraid to speak out, and what was especially surprising was the fact that she had no idea about the cut ties or any sort of feud. She took to Twitter yesterday to attempt to share her side of the story in a series of tweets, saying, QUOTE, “Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an "issue" is via a radio interview. Personally, i dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team...”
And she didn’t stop there. She then tweeted, “He seems to think theres nothing wrong with what he said, everybody else seems to disagree. Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin.”
Alright Iggy, we’ll take your word for it: If you’re chillin’ then we’re chillin’! And there’s even more reason to keep her chill because we also just got word that T.I. has officially responded back to those “cutting ties” accusations and has actually clarified that he still considers her his “partner.” He said during an interview with the Associated Press that QUOTE, ““Her life has taken her in a different direction. My life is still as it was before. But Iggy is doing what she feels makes Iggy happy. That’s what she should do. We’re focused on making the next Iggy record and dodge the same adversities we faced last time.”
He revealed that he was NOT at all looking to fully walk away from working with Iggy, saying “It was more so like, ‘OK, you have a lot on your plate right now. I’m going to pull back or wait until you come to a place where you’re ready to come back to the table, so we can start again and make history some more.”
