The Internet wasn’t too excited when news broke that Jake Paul would be hosting at the TCA’s this year. Between his recent departure from Disney Channel, neighbor complaints, and xenophobic comments towards a Kazakhstani fan, its no wonder people are a little upset and many of them shared their concerns online. They even started the hashtag #TCAsCancelJakePaul.”
But with all the controversy surrounding him lately, Jake did attempt to make amends during his acceptance speech.
Though I’m not too sure everyone was having it. Many people took to twitter to share their reactions to his speech, as well as their thoughts on his Teen Choice Awards musical debut. One Twitter user did not buy Jake’s speech one little bit, tweeting QUOTE “Jake Paul: The next step for me is to forget all the bad press, drama, negativity, and focus on being my true self.”
Another user wrote QUOTE “Jake Paul is a bully, a racist and a sexist. He CAN'T be up on stage singing his bully song, not a good influence #TCAsCancelJakePaul”
And if you did catch Jake’s performance tonight or have access to Internet, you may have heard about Jake Paul dropping his microphone and falling on stage during his performance of “Everyday Bro.” The video spread across the Internet real quick after it aired and still has people wondering whether or not the “mic drop and fall” was intentional.
I have it say, it definitely looks like the first drop of the mic was an accident, but the actual fall seemed to be pretty intentional, like he was trying to act like the whole thing was on purpose. But what do you guys think? Did Jake Paul drop the mic and fall on purpose or was it an accident? And what did you think of him hosting Teen Fest? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below.
