2017 Teen Choice Awards Announces Its First Wave Of Nominees

The first wave of the Teen Choice Nominations have been announced--check out all the incredible movies, shows, and actors nominated this year...
The Teen Choice awards are celebrating the best films, shows, and actors this year, and it looks like voting for a favorite is going to be tougher than ever…
In the first wave of Teen Choice Awards Nominations, categories such as Choice Comedy Show, Choice Action Film, Choice TV Actor and Actress, and many more have all been announced, and trust me when I say that when I break this down for you, it is NOT going to be easy deciding who should take home that coveted Teen Choice Surfboard in any of the categories.
Choice Action Movie nominees include “Logan”, “The Fate of the Furious”, and this summer’s biggest hit, “Wonder Woman”. My guess is our girl Gal Gadot is gonna take home the surfboard for this one, but maybe that’s just because I’m assuming everyone wants to see Wonder Woman riding a surfboard as much as I do.
As far as Choice Actors and Actresses, let’s just say I hope you have an all time favorite in every category right now because otherwise this is not going to be easy. For Choice Comedy Movie actor, “Baywatch” buds Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson are BOTH up for a surfboard for their roles in the summer flick, meanwhile Choice Comedy Movie actress has Dory herself, Ellen Degeneres, going up against Anna Kendrick for her work in the rom-com, “Table 19”. Gal Gadot is also nominated in this category, and while she definitely had her funny moments in “Wonder Woman”, she’s actually nominated for her work in “Keeping Up with the Joneses” for this one.
Other Choice Movie categories include Choice comedy movie, where Disney Pixar’s “Cars 3” will go up against Disney Pixar’s “Finding Dory”, and Choice Fantasy Movie, where fan favorites “Fantastic Beasts”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Moana” are all going to have to battle it out for the top spot.
The TV categories are also filled the brim with some of our favorite shows, with “Arrow”, “Supergirl” and “The Flash” all nominated for Choice Action TV Show, and “Riverdale”, “This is Us” and “Pretty Little Liars” all nominated for Choice Drama TV Show. And speaking of “Pretty Little Liars”, literally all of the liars--Troian, Sasha, Ashley, Lucy, AND Shay--are ALL battling it out for Choice TV Drama actress this year, so that should definitely make for an interesting, and hopefully not awkward, win!
The Teen Choice Awards air on August 13th at 8pm Eastern time on FOX, so be sure to get voting for your faves ASAP!
