Jay Z Drops Mysterious Video Teaser For 4:44 Project

Mysterious 4:44 ads have been at large in New York, Miami, and online for what many have guessed is a tease for a mysterious new Jay-Z album, but an ad that played during the NBA finals yesterday alludes to something else.
Jay-Z and Beyonce are the masters of manipulation when it comes to surprises so chances are we won’t find out what 4:44 is all about until it’s here.
Mysterious TIDAL ads saying 4:44 have been popping up all over the internet, in Miami and in New York on billboards, Time Square, and on the subways leading many to believe that Jay-Z is about to drop a new album. However speculators were thrown for a curve ball when a joint Sprint and TIDAL ad ran during the NBA finals that appeared to be some type of trailer that shows Mahershala Ali boxing while Danny Glover trains him. The end of the ad reveals that Lupita Nyong’o is also part of the project. Take a look:
The end of the teaser reveals that it is a joint project between Sprint and Tidal which is interesting because Sprint recently invested in the company. Sprint’s CEO tweeted that they will be bringing customers exclusive content through the partnership along with saying that more news regarding the matter will be coming our way today. Everyone was convinced the billboards had something to do with Jay-Z releasing new music because the number 4 is a special number for Jay. It’s been four years since his last album, he and Beyonce have matching IV tattoos on their ring fingers, both of their birthdays take place on the fourth, even Blue Ivy’s name suggests the roman numerals for 4. So it would make sense, but the teaser clip has me perplexed because it seems like Tidal is actually instead making a movie with some very big names attached to it. I guess time will tell.
