If you’re like us then you’re still mourning the end of Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult’s relationship, but some new details are emerging as to why and WHEN this duo decided to go their separate ways.
Yes, as you might have heard by now, the X-Men co-stars have ended their romance – for the second time – and some are saying that lack of time spent together was the reason for the split. And apparently, Nicholas was the one who ultimately pulled the trigger. The two have been busy working on projects this year, and rarely got to see each other, and according to the Mirror UK, Nicholas was upset when Jen decided to attend a Dior event instead of meeting up with him at the Wireless music festival. Regardless of the reasoning behind the break-up, the split is reportedly very amicable, which is good considering they’ll reunite to film X-Men: Apocalypse later this year.
Also, another new detail to emerge has to do with the timeline of their split. Though it wasn’t announced until recently, some say that these two actually broke up back in May – right around the time that their movie X-Men: Days of Future Past was released. However, it was filming that very movie that basically lead them back into each others arms, so maybe history will repeat itself once they start working on X-Men: Apocalypse?
During this time, Nicholas has also been linked to Alex Pettyfer’s ex Riley Keough as well as his Equals co-star Kristen Stewart as they’ve been seen together on a number of occasions. However, it seems very friendly and professional between these two, and more importantly, they’re both just really good human beings, so we probably wouldn’t look too much into it.
