Inside sources are clearing the air saying that Justin Bieber is not 100% to blame for Selena Gomez’s issues with her mom.
Turns out that the tension between Sel and her mom is a lot more complicated than we thought.
After news broke that Selena’s mom, Mandy was hospitalized after a heated argument, many sources believed the tension between Selena and her mom was caused by the fact that Selena’s dating Justin Bieber, but it turns out that Mandy and Sel have had issues for awhile.
An inside source told E! News QUOTE - "Selena has always said that the one person that means the most to her is her mom. But still, they've had a really complicated relationship and have gone through a lot of ups and downs."
Apparently their relationship has been strained ever since Selena fired Mandy as her manager back in 2014. Rumor has it that Mandy was so hurt by the dismissal that they didn’t speak for an entire year. Can you imagine not talking to your mom for a year?? To make matters worse, the source added that during that time, Mandy wouldn’t even let Selena talk to her sister.
But thankfully they eventually resolved their issues and earlier this year they worked together once again on 13 Reasons Why and walked the carpet at the premiere by each other’s sides. So is Justin to blame for Selena’s family issues? No! In fact, word on the street is that Justin has been a huge crutch for Selena to lean on while she deals with all of the drama. The inside source told E! QUOTE - "Selena is dealing with some family issues at the moment and Justin is there for her. He doesn't want to cause any problems between Selena and her mom... Justin and Selena are still together."
There are also rumors that Justin and Selena will be spending New Years together in Mexico because Selena and JB’s dad are in Mexico right now. Not together, but still. Coincidence? Probably, but maybe not!
