Is Justin Bieber To BLAME For Selena Gomez & The Weeknd's Split?

Yesterday we reported that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd officially parted ways sometime last week. Fans knew something was up when Selena started hanging out with her ex Justin Bieber and when the Internet noticed The Weeknd unfollowed Selena’s friends and family online.
The folks at E! News initially reported that The Weeknd was FINE with Selena hanging out with her ex Justin last week, but apparently things have changed. Justin is said to have had NO part in their split, but now we’re hearing that The Weeknd isn’t happy to see Selena hanging out with Justin.
So why the change of heart? Our guess is because Justin and Selena seem to have gone from zero to 100 in a matter of days. Over the weekend Justin was seen chilling out at Selena’s house, the two enjoyed brunch together on Sunday, and later attended church. Keep in mind this was just a few days after Selena’s split with Abel.
E! News reports QUOTE, “Abel is upset about Selena hanging out with Justin, especially twice in the same week.” Call us crazy- but didn’t The Weekend and Selena break up? Selena can hang out with whoever she wants and that happens to be Justin. But don’t get any ideas just yet, Justin and Selena remain friends at this point.
The E! News source explained the reason for their rekindled friendship, “...they have gone through similar stuff in the past couple years with being physically and mentally exhausted from touring and dealing with the anxiety and pressure of growing up in the public eye. They have always had a strong connection, and they are leaning on each other as friends.” The source added that while there is 100 nothing romantic going on right now, that could change at any moment.
Selena’s kidney transplant seems to have been the vehicle that brought Jelena back together, but that still doesn’t mean The Weeknd has to like it. The source claims the split was a longtime coming and the couple even talked about it over the summer. The good news is that Abelena are still talking and will remain friends, “They have been very grown-up about it.”
So while it’s easy to blame Justin for the breakup, it sounds like it would have happened whether or not Jelena reunited last week. But did Justin speed up the pr? We’ll let you guys decide that one.
