Selena maybe an international popstar but deep down inside, she’s just like all of us. Just days after news broke of Selena and Abel’s split, Sel was spotted out on a post-breakup bike ride with a giant smile on her face and a very familiar looking jacket.
And no, even though she did just reunite with Justin Bieber on a friendly level, it wasn’t his jacket that she was wearing. It was actually The Weeknd’s outerwear that she decided to wear on her little joy ride. Maybe it was just her way of subtly telling the world that she and Abel are totally on good terms.
After all, according to TMZ’s sources, the exes have remained friendly and have even talked to each other a few times after calling it quits. As for how the breakup went down, multiple insiders connected to both The Weeknd and Sel told TMZ that it was Abel who initiated the breakup.
TMZ’s insider reported that several weeks ago, Abel called up Sel and basically explained to her that their relationship had lost its passion and that it was no longer working for him before he ultimately ended it. And for those of you who are blaming Justin for getting in the middle of Abelena’s relationship, TMZ was also told that Justin and Sel reunited after she and The Weeknd went their separate ways. Sooo things definitely aren’t as messy as people are making it out to be.
