Justin Bieber talks about how his fans have changed in a new documentary.
But it’s not a documentary about Justin, it’s all about his bodyguard.
Justin Bieber and his bodyguard Mikey Arana are featured in a new film about obsessive fan culture called Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower. In a teaser for the new documentary Justin opens up about his biggest issue with fans and how they’ve evolved- take a look.
But as Justin’s fans have grown up, so has Justin. His fans may be more likely to strike up conversation with him, but Justin has banned photos to gain back some of his normal life.
In the doc, Justin’s director of security Mikey, reveals his job has progressed with Justin’s fans. The bodyguard tries to stay “out of sight out of mind” to give Justin more space. Mikey describes the early days with Justin saying QUOTE, “I remember when I first started with him - it may sound crazy, but three, four little girls - they have so much strength that they would literally rip his shirt, take off his hoodie… you could lose him in the crowd.” In the teaser Mikey admits the crowds in South America are the most dangerous and has often made him question, “How am I gonna get out of this?” The full documentary drops December 2 and also features the security teams of 50 Cent, Nelson Mandela, and more.
