Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are taking a break at the moment and it looks like Sel’s mom, Mandy Teefey, is to blame.
If you thought Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez‘s relationship would be smooth sailing this time around, you thought wrong.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are reportedly taking another break at the moment, which seems quite sudden seeing as they rekindled their on-again, off-again romance just a few months ago. But now more details are rolling in about why Jelena decided to pump the breaks this time and things are making a little more sense.
According to Us Weekly, Selena’s mom’s feelings about Jelena 3.0 was a major reason why the pair decided to bump the breaks.
A source told the magazine QUOTE “Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin. Justin’s family loves Selena, but Selena’s family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don’t trust Justin. Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed…but her family just isn’t budging right now.”
The 25-year-old’s relationship with Mandy got rocky long before The Biebs came back into her life, but they were eventually able to reconcile. Justin’s presence, however, was allegedly making it hard for Selena and her mom to continue on their smooth path.
The source continued QUOTE “Her relationship with Justin has really affected her relationship with her mom, and it’s been hard for her because she is super close with her mom. Her mom was her rock when she was having her health complications. Justin and Selena decided to take a break to give her family some more time to heal and take in the idea of her and Justin being a couple again.”
But the 41-year-old isn’t the only factor in Jelena’s break. Apparently, JB QUOTE “doesn’t care about anyone but himself” and as soon as Selena started to see this selfish behavior she got the heck out of there. I don’t blame her… especially after all the drama that went on the last time they dated. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
It must be super hard for Selena to know that her mom doesn’t like Justin, especially since his family is totally on board with their relationship. His mama does like everyone, after all.
