Katy Perry & Dolly Parton Epic Duet at 2016 ACMs

KP went full on COUNTY YALL last night at the 2016 ACM Awards by first stepping out on the red carpet in This....Jeremy Scott Couture - shiny blue leather two piece ensmeble that was full on "yee haw" all the way from the tip top of that teased bumpit to those steel toed pink cowgirl boots. And while some people complained that this outfit was way too over the top, I think it was just enough to stimulate my southern drawl which is one the things that I love the most about myself.
Anyway back to Katie
Later in the night she new boot goofed her way on to the main stage in another wild, fringed cowboy inspired outfit to perform alongside the LEGENDARY Dolly Parton and these two were like kindred spirits up there performing a medley of Dolly's hits like Coat of Many Colors , Jolene, and 9 to 5
Also - Katy had the honor of offering the Tex Ritter Award last night to Dolly Parton - who by the way is 70 freaking years old and still killing it - The Tex Ritter award was given to her because of her 2015 NBC TV movie called "Coat of Many Colors" that was based on her life, and Katy had this to say:
OR "and Katy said "I recently tweeted that I was but just one tiny sequin on Dolly Parton's gown. I think I'll say, though, maybe we're kind of cut from the same lamé because her grandpa was a preacher, my father's a preacher; we both grew up singin' and playin' guitar in church; and we're both known for some of the biggest songs in our fields."
