Katy paid her respects in more ways than one last night.

She was one of many to perform at the benefit concert yesterday to raise money for The We Love Manchester Fund in partnership with the British Red Cross

The sun was setting and the sky was a perfect shade of purpley/blue as Katy took the stage with an acoustic rendition of “Part of Me”

Then she raised everyone’s spirits with an upbeat performance of “Roar”

And during it she ripped off her coat to reveal a white dress, but not just any white dress.

Once photos came out of the performance, it was revealed that Katy had a collage of all 22 victims strewn together on the back of her dress in the shape of a heart.

Now that’s a next level inspirational tribute.

Both songs fit too perfectly in paying tribute to these victims and the lyrics really spread the message of love over hate every time.

Katy also gave an emotional speech saying QUOTE, “love conquers fear and love conquers hate. And this love that you choose will give you strength and it’s our greatest power … I encourage you to choose love even when it’s difficult. Let no one take that away from you.”

With reportedly 55,000 people in attendance, the benefit concert raised over 12 million dollars so far and counting.
