Kim Kardashian is being DRAGGED online for posting an insensitive tribute to the victims of the terrorist bombing at Ariana Grande’s concert.
There’s a lot of back and forth here- so we’ll let you guys be the judge.
Following the brutal terrorist attack at Ariana Grande’s concert in England, many celebs spoke out online sending love and thoughts to Ariana and the victims. One of those celebs was Kim Kardashian. In a series of tweets Kim wrote, “I can't imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids” followed by, “I'm praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heart breaking.”
In a third tweet Kim posted a photo of herself with Ariana partying at a concert and wrote, “Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose & have fun. So scary to not feel safe in this world. @arianagrande I love u.” Kim also posted the same photo and message on her Instagram account. Many have since criticized the post for being insensitive and making it all about “Kim” by posting a photo of herself. In response, the reality star has deleted both the tweet and Instagram photo of her with Ariana.
While we know Kim’s intentions were good, many fans did not appreciate Kim’s message. One Twitter user wrote, “Kim Kardashian is the only person who would post a picture of themselves as a "tribute" to the Manchester bombing... actually sad”. Another unhappy follower said, “The malfunction of @KimKardashian with her Narcissistic personality disorder is disgusting.” And another fan made a positive suggestion: “Why don't you donate money to the families affected or up the security at that venue, or do something USEFUL”.
It’s worth noting that Kim’s NOT the only celeb that sent love to Ariana online by posting a photo WITH the singer. Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Demi Lovato and more have also shared snaps alongside Ariana in the wake of the tragedy.
Do you guys think Kim made herself the focus of the message, and do YOU think the photo was insensitive? Tell us your thoughts on this tricky situation below. We’d like to send love and happy thoughts to all those involved in this unthinkable attack in Manchester, England. From Clevver, I’m Ava Gordy.
