[KiniNews] A DAP MP has has lodged a police report against Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin for playing on 3R (race, religion, royalty) issues.

This came after Muhyiddin brought up Jill Ireland’s "Allah" case at a ceramah in Kapar, Selangor on Sunday, Muhyiddin claimed that the government's decision to drop an appeal on Ireland's case showed that the Anwar Ibrahim administration agreed with the court that Christians can use the word “Allah”.

He then accused Anwar of being manipulated into making the decision by DAP.

Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid lodged the report on Monday and urged police to investigate the PN chief under the Sedition Act and Section 505 of the Penal Code for statements conducive to public mischief.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Bersatu supreme council member Muhammad Faiz Na'aman has voiced dissatisfaction over the party's pick of those "rejected" in the 15th general election to contest in the upcoming state polls.

He cited the "undeserving" candidates as Azmin Ali, who is contesting in Hulu Kelang, Rina Harun (Batu Tiga), Sasha Lyna Abdul Latif (Bukit Antarabangsa), and Dr Afif Bahardin (Taman Medan).
