#KiniNews: Police investigating threats against Nga; Bersatu leader swipes at Yeoh over Taylor Swift

[KiniNews] Copies of a note warning Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming not to challenge Islam were scattered outside his parents’ residence in Ayer Tawar, Perak.

Nga’s mother, who discovered the “Jangan cabar Islam” notes, has since lodged a police report.

Nga, who is in Hong Kong on an official trip, said he would leave the matter to the police.

Manjung district police chief Mohamed Nordin Abdullah said that the case is being probed under Section 507 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation through anonymous communication, which is punishable with imprisonment for a maximum period of two years, or a fine, or both.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Bersatu leader Sasha Lyna Abdul Latif has called on the government to stop giving excuses and disclose if efforts were made to secure the economically beneficial Taylor Swift concert.
