[KiniNews] Johor Umno deputy chief Nur Jazlan Mohamed has taken a swipe at several party leaders who aired their dissatisfaction over a motion passed at the Umno general assembly last week for the top two party positions to be uncontested.
Specifically, he singled out Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also a former prime minister, as well as Johor Umno chief and former Johor menteri besar Hasni Mohammad.
“Even the Umno vice-president who is also PM-9 did not walk the talk. When voting for the motion was carried out, he stood up and supported it, but once out of the hall, he held a press conference to dispute it."
As for Hasni, Nur Jazlan chided the Simpang Renggam MP for speaking about the issue without any prior discussions.
“All this while, he (Hasni) took a silent approach and did not say anything about contests for the president and deputy president’s posts."
