Bersatu leader questions rush in filing appeal against Muhyiddin’s acquittal

Bersatu legal and constitution bureau today urged the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) to withdraw its appeal against the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision to acquit Muhyiddin Yassin from three counts of power abuse charges.

Its bureau deputy chairperson Sasha Lyna Abdul Latif said the court ruling during the early stage of the case showed that "it was the flimsiest of flimsy" charges.

She also criticised Attorney-General Idrus Harun's decision to appeal against the court decision on the very same day.
