#KiniNews: KJ should blame himself over GEG bill, says Tiong; DAP should sue BN -Wan Saiful

[KiniNews] Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing said former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin has no one but himself to blame for coming up with a purportedly defective “generational endgame” (GEG) bill.

He claimed Khairy tabled a bill in July 2022 that was “unconstitutional” and “unenforceable”.

According to Tiong, the bill was drafted in a rush and contained many weaknesses, which would cause other problems if passed.

“Who will be blamed? Ironically, during (Khairy’s) stint as health minister, apart from seeking popularity and sprucing up his image, what has (Khairy) done for the public health system?" he said.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, former Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan has challenged DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng to sue BN over allegations contained in BN's 15th general election campaign booklet.

He said BN's booklet titled "Bahan Kempen Komunikasi BN" included claims similar to the ones recently made by Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Mohamad, linking DAP leaders with former communist leader Ong Boon Hua, popularly known as Chin Peng.
