[KiniNews] Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin has left Bersatu for Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) and will remain supportive of Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
"God willing, my participation, as well as experience, will help steer PBM to greater heights, especially ahead of the upcoming general election. My participation will also help fill the void of women leadership in the country," she said.
Meanwhile, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on the government to expedite an anti-hopping law to prevent MPs from disappointing voters by switching parties.
Zahid said when Zuraida quit her party today, it left the impression that it is easy for elected representatives to change parties according to their desires and interests.
