Laurie Hernandez Gets Surprised By Tori Kelly & It's Epic

It’s only been a few short weeks since this year’s Olympics, but Laurie Hernandez has one more reason to keep that ‘unbreakable smile’ just a little longer.
It’s only been Olympic Gold Medalist Laurie Hernandez’ lifelong dream to meet her idol Tori Kelly (besides winning gold medals, of course), which was stated time after time in almost every interview following the Summer Olympics…
And it seemed as though Laurie’s wish was granted on Saturday night prior to performing in the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions when Laurie got an unexpected visit from a big fan, and FYI: the fangirl freakout was REAL.
So we’re not quite sure who was more excited to meet who, but it was clear that the feeling was mutual once Tori Kelly appeared out of the blue to surprise Laurie shortly before she took the stage that night. And we do have to mention that Tori wasn’t the only one excited to meet Laurie, as seen in the video when a little girl walked out of the bathroom, shocked to be within two feet of the gymnast, but don’t worry… the two eventually were on the same page…
Well, sort of… Laurie took to Twitter to clear the air writing QUOTE, “Oh. MY. GOSH. @torikelly (don’t worry, I said hi to the little girl)” and Tori also shared the video via Instagram writing, “just got to surprise this cutie before she hit the stage. So glad we finally got to meet!! You’re a sweet soul @lauriehernandez”.
After all the excitement, the two did end up catching up before it was time for Laurie to take the stage, so I’d say this was the perfect good luck charm and the cherry on top of yet another stellar gymnastics routine by the ‘Final Five’.
