Lili’s assistant can cancel all her yoga classes, and throw away her healing crystals because Cole Sprouse is a calming force to reckon with. Lili covers the new Ocean Drive magazine looking sultry in dark smokey eyemakeup and a metallic jacket. In the magazine’s cover story Lili revealed one big detail about her man Cole.
Speaking about her circle of co-stars on Riverdale Lili dished on Cole’s leadership role, “He really brings us down to earth if we’re feeling like something we’ve said is being taken out of context. He’s always the one to be like, ‘Just ignore it. It will blow over.’ It’s a nice, calming energy he has because you know what that been through it.” Yes, we know what you’re thinking… he will probably say that to Lili about this very interview.
Lili may have Cole to calm her nerves, but that doesn’t mean everything in Lili’s World is sunshine and rainbows. Lili admitted she relates the most with the darker side of her character Betty saying, “What I bring to Betty is her real anxiety about things and the stress she’s under because I get easily overwhelmed and stressed out. I have anxiety.”
Lili has been open with fans about her mental health journey in the past and she says it’s not over. Even though she’s on a successful show, has money, has her own place, and has lots of friends, Lili reveals “I still go through and experience depression. You don’t have to be ashamed of it. You don’t need to ever justify the way you feel.” Lili hopes to inspire others because she remembers being in middle school hearing Demi Lovato speak up about mental illness and it comforted her.
